Not much happened on Monday or Tuesday. I was trying to recover from my crazy weekend! But on Wednesday things started out with a bang! And by bang I mean I totally burnt the bacon. Of course burnt bacon doesn't necessarily give reason to epic stories but it does when you have the Vivint home system. Immediately my alarm was ringing saying fire detected. And then the darn thing called dispatch before giving me a chance to type in my code of air out any smoke! Within minutes we could hear sirens and then came the fire truck! Oh I was so embarrassed!
As soon as one of the fireman came up he asked, "Do you have some toast ready for me?" I surely was beat red but James thought this was super cool. A personal viewing of the fire truck. James was able to have quite the conversation with the fireman and even got to get up in the fire truck.
After our morning drama, we went to story time at the library with Gramdma Deb. You would not believe what stories they had picked out for the day! Books about firefighters! It's as if they knew! James is going to be an expert, that is for sure.
We found out that the library was having a big family BBQ about an hour after story time. So we decided to head over to the park until it was time. The kids absolutely loved the park!
I am so happy we decided to wait it out. The BBQ at the library was a lot of unexpected fun. They had am ambulance and of course a fire truck for the kids to check out. The best part was that Aunt Rachel was there with three baby goats! The kids thought this was the best thing ever! James lived it so much that he was horribly sad when it was time to leave.
Thursday was our last work day before leaving on our Fourth of July camping trip! Grandma Deb bought us a stoller early on in the week and it was set to arrive. We want to make sure we had it for our trip so Matt went and picked up I stead of us waiting for delivery. I was so excited I assembled it and had it all ready for our walk to the movie theater. It is a sit and stand stroller so James has more freedom. I also discovered this feature even allows me to fit a third kid on the stroller! So much easier than carrying James when he gets tired or telling him he has to walk!
As soon as the daycare kids left, we loaded up the car and set off for Granite!
Arrival at Granite! Peter patiently waiting after a long drive. But we had to set up camp and he was done with his car seat! It is very beautiful in Granite and I certainly took a million pictures so now I will make another post and then maybe another because it will never load if I out in all on here!
