Yard sales, teething, and fishing! Oh my!

I have decided that reflecting on my week is my favorite part about blogging! I don't think we do that much but then I look back and I'm always amazed at how much fun we have accomplished! This week was no exception.

Starting earlier this week, Peter started teething a lot more than the normal budding gums. And finally his tooth came through! James' bottom teeth did not come through until around nine months so I was not expecting any teeth this early. But I am happy his tooth broke through. I remember that first tooth being the hardest with James! Just the teething process as the tooth tries to break the gums. The actual cutting has not been that terrible! Peter is just getting so big. He can sit up so well and loves playing with toys. On my bed he scoots himself around so I think crawling is a short distance away! I think this is all so o exciting, these experiences Peter is going through. However, it does make me sad. My baby boy is growing up way too fast!

This week we also tackled and completed a big project of ours. We will be converting our garage into a big play room for our boys and my daycare kids. My dad hired us a contractor and we have met with him once before. This week we finally finished cleaning out our garage and met with the contractor to finalize the plans. He has paper work to submit to the city and then he gets to work! I am so happy to have this process started. I cannot wait until it is finished!

                My very clean garage!

On Saturday Matt and I had separate missions. I was doing and multi-family garage sale with my step mom, Carole, and my aunt, Amy. I had fun hanging out with them and was very pleased with how well I did! All the money I earned gets to be used on our Salt Lake Trip in a couple weeks so I was happy it turned out better than expected. I did get a sunburn from being our there and I really hope that it turns into a tan!

Matt also had busy plans on Saturday and had a Huck Finn Fishing Derby with James. He told me that they had so much fun and James was overjoyed to go catch his first fish! James did really well and was holding the title of largest fish up until the end. They even ended up making the paper for the fishing derby! I thought it was so funny! Matt is seriously a newspaper magnet; he was in it all the time in high school. It seems that James may be falling in his footsteps. I swear I have never been in the newspaper.

The newspaper.

Photographs from fishing!

                          The fish.

Matt said James loved the worms and was so mad at the fishing for killing and eating his worms!

James prize for coming in second for largest fish!

                     Eww!! So gross!!

To finish off the week we had my brothers have a spend the night with James and hang out with us on Sunday so that my mom could bring my brother, Jason, to Laramie for his new job. James loves having Mark and Kevyn over. They got to sleep downstairs on our pull out bed. One big sleep over and James had a blast. Peter didn't have as much fun though. Poor bug got sick this weekend. He had a fever and was acting miserable! I have never seen him act so worn out. I am not sure if he was sick or if it was teerhing. All I know is that I was relieved he woke up feeling much better on Sunday. No more fever!

Loving this life I have with my boys. Enjoy the little moments and create adventure wherever you go.
